About Dr. Bhaskar Mukherjee
Dr. Bhaskar Mukherjee is a senior ophthalmologist and healthcare management professional with more than 25 years of experience in ophthalmology. He has extensive clinical experience in cataract, glaucoma, anterior segment and medical retina, with a strong focus on delivering quality, ethical and patient-centred eye care.
He completed his MBBS and D.O. from Burdwan Medical College and subsequently pursued advanced professional qualifications, including FRCS (Glasgow) from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow and FRCOphth from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. He has also completed an MBA in Hospital Management and was awarded a Ph.D. in Management, giving him a distinctive combination of clinical expertise and healthcare leadership.
Dr. Mukherjee has completed fellowships in phacoemulsification and LASIK and has performed more than 20,000 ophthalmic surgeries to date. His professional interests include cataract and glaucoma care, anterior segment disorders, medical retina and comprehensive vision care.
Alongside his clinical practice, he has a special interest in hospital management, service quality, healthcare marketing and medico-legal matters. He has contributed to research and published 12 papers in peer-reviewed journals and a book. He has also participated in numerous professional conferences as a speaker, moderator, panellist, judge, course instructor and faculty.
