He was previously attached to Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre, Salt Lake, Kolkata He did his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal , Karnataka. and MS(Ophthalmology) from Chennai . He completed his Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery from Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre, Kolkata and worked there as a Consultant . He specialises in Corneal diseases and is proficient in performing Complex Cataract ( Phaco) and Cornea surgeries.
